Gloss Toning – dimension and shine in perfect balance.
What is a toning and why is it important?
- A toning is not a permanent color.
- It gently wraps around the hair, adds pigment and mirror shine without making the hair compact where the natural shades in the hair remain.
I apply Gloss Toning over to:
– Preserve the natural shades in the hair but enhance the color
– Create a soft transition between the base and the length
– Give incredible shine to lifeless hair
The result? Hair that looks alive, exclusive and naturally dimensioned.
Also perfect for blonde hair
Gloss Toning is ideal for:
– Neutralize yellow or orange tones
– Tint balayage and highlights
– Refresh the color between treatments
Tip about the color 9/V - this tones out light yellow shades. It does not bleach or lighten anything. But when your white highlights turn yellow, 9/V refreshes the hair again. Becomes one step darker on bleached strands. It is recommended to have it for just 5 minutes otherwise it will become darker than 1 step.
Tip about the color 9/GI - this is for those of you who do not want to be ashy gray but neutralizes yellow and slightly orange pigments. This leaves a sandy beige shade. Becomes one step darker on bleached strands. It is recommended to have it for just 5 minutes otherwise it will become darker than 1 step.

Gentle to the hair
Glossy hair in 4 simple steps
Wash your hair
Wash your hair with shampoo only. We recommend to wash it twice.
Towel dry your hair thoroughly.
Mix the color
Mix the toning according to the instructions on the packaging.
If you are unsure about the application, write to our advisory service on Instagram.
Apply the product
Apply and let the gloss work at the roots first. If your lengths are very blonde, only pull the gloss through the lengths for the last 3-5 minutes. For the darker colors, apply to the roots first, massage through all the hair immediately, processing time 20 minutes.
Rinse
When you are satisfied with the result, just rinse out the color and wash your hair with your choice of shampoo and conditioner.
It's that simple.
About us
My name is Sofia Stenholm and I am the founder of LA HAIR!
This is my third product. After 25 years as a hairdresser, I know that it is in the lengths that the magic happens.
The bottom gives depth. The lengths give life.
I have therefore developed six exclusive gloss tonings, inspired by my favorite tonings I work with at the Shades EQ gloss salon – but with my own precision in the shades. I have chosen, mixed together my 6 most used shades for perfect results every time. So the hair does not turn red or shift to green.
What is a toning and why is it important?
- A toning is not a permanent color.
- It gently wraps around the hair, adds pigment and mirror shine without making the hair compact where the natural shades in the hair remain.
For example, when I use Grey Cover at the bottom for 100% gray hair coverage, I do not want to pull down a strong color in the lengths every time. It makes the hair flat and lifeless.
Instead, I apply Gloss Toning over to:
– preserve the natural shades in the hair but enhance the color
– create a soft transition between the base and the length
– give incredible shine to lifeless hair
The result? Hair that looks alive, exclusive and naturally dimensioned.
